Free Tibet Board member

We are looking for a committed and creative Board member to join our team. Key duties include:

  • Ensuring that Free Tibet pursues its stated objective to support the Tibetan
    people in their desire for freedom and the exercise of their right to determine
    their own future and to educate the public of such matters.
  • Ensuring that Free Tibet complies with its memorandum and articles of association, company law, and any other relevant legislation or regulations.
  • Ensuring that Free Tibet develops and agrees a long-term strategy, defines its
    goals and evaluates performance against agreed targets.
  • Ensuring the effective and efficient administration of Free Tibet, including having
    appropriate policies and procedures in place.
  • Ensuring the financial stability of Free Tibet, protecting and managing the
    property of Free Tibet, and ensuring the proper investment of Free Tibet’s funds.

Fundraising Assistant – Voluntary

Office-based role supporting the fundraising team with supporter care and administrative fundraising tasks alongside one or two other members of the team. Duties are as follows:

  • Processing donations. Working primarily on the database you will be responsible for inputting both postal and online donations.
  • Supporting the Fundraising Officer with and ensuring the smooth running of supporter journey fulfilment. Including regular donor welcome packs, lifetime supporter welcome packs and major donor thank you emails.
  • Building relationships with suppliers and administrating the in-memory fundraising programme.
  • Consistently and accurately maintaining the database in accordance with fundraising regulations.
  • Developing innovative ways to improve fundraising programs from an administrative level.
  • Supporting the fundraising team in other aspects of their work.
  • Attending staff meetings and assisting other teams within the organisation where appropriate.

Business Support Fundraising Assistant – Voluntary

  • Working with the Shop and Supporter Care Officer fulfilling merchandise orders.
  • Support the Supporter Care Officer in dealing with enquiries across a range of platforms.
  • Developing innovative ways to improve fundraising programs from an administrative level.
  • Consistently and accurately maintaining the database in accordance with fundraising regulations.
  • Supporting the fundraising team in other aspects of their work.
  • Attending staff meetings and assisting other teams within the organisation where appropriate.
