Thank you to everyone who donated to Tibet Match 2020.
We raised an amazing £8,226 throughout the week. With the match pot, this means a total of £15,826 for Tibet Watch, all of which will go toward funding their vital research and advocacy work.
Have you read news from Tibet on our website or taken action in one of our campaigns? None of this would be possible without our research partner Tibet Watch.
Without Tibet Watch, Free Tibet couldn't turn the international media spotlight on Tibet, couldn't provide evidence to the UN of China's human rights abuses and couldn't obtain the up-to-date information we need to continue our campaigns.
Tibetans risk life imprisonment for speaking out about the lack of freedom, so Tibet Watch must protect its sources by ensuring its communication systems aren't vulnerable to intrusion. As Tibetans with friends and family living under occupation, our researchers must also maintain their own anonymity.
Will you help Tibet Watch this March?
Tibet Watch relies entirely on individual donations.
During Tibet Match any donation you make - up to the £7,600 total - will be doubled by a handful of generous sponsors.
From their field office in northern India, Tibet Watch researchers collate and corroborate testimonies and eye-witness accounts of human rights abuses in Tibet.
With over a decade of experience, Tibet Watch is the most effective organisation in the world for sourcing and disseminating news from Tibet.
Funds raised during Tibet Match will directly support Tibet Watch's monitoring and advocacy work.
