Tibet protest at the Mall for State Visit of Xi Jinping: 20 October

What: Protest by Tibet campaigners

When:  Tuesday 20 October 2015, 11.00–13.00

Where:  King George VI memorial, St James Park, the Mall (north side), London



Tibetans and Tibet campaigners will join other activists in a demonstration on the Mall as the ceremonial procession of President Xi Jinping of China proceeds from Horse Guards to Buckingham Palace on the first day of his State Visit to the UK.


Protesters will carry colourful Tibetan flags, large banners including one saying Xi Jinping: Freedom and human rights for Tibet, and multiple placards. Representatives of Tibet groups will be available to talk to the press.


Further Tibet demonstrations will take place during the visit. Details to be confirmed.
