Chinese official issues chilling warning
Regional Communist Party Chief of Tibet Chen Quanguo has ordered officials to ready themselves for “war”.
Chen’s rhetoric clearly shows that China views Tibetan protests as an extremely serious threat. It is also a chilling warning of just how ruthless the response to unarmed Tibetan protesters might be.

At least five Tibetans have already been killed, including Urgen (above), and many more injured, when Chinese security personnel opened fire on unarmed protesters in three separate incidents in different areas of Tibet in the last few weeks.
Instead of looking for ways to resolve Tibetan unhappiness with Chinese rule, the authorities are determined to stamp out protests. Tibetans, however, are taking to the streets in ever greater numbers, calling for freedom despite the risks.
